Ombuds Events Calendar | Register for Workshops

The Ombuds serve graduate students, staff, and faculty, empowering them to constructively navigate challenges related to their experiences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

  • In one-on-one consultations, the ombuds can help you engage in finding information, goal-setting, brainstorming, problem-solving, and skills practice, with respect, civility, and fairness. You can count on feeling safe and being heard. Our services are informal – we are not a reporting office.
  • Ombuds may provide mediation services with the consent of all parties involved. During these activities, Ombuds will remain impartial and independent, focusing a fair application of University policies and procedures.
  • Our educational programming supports individuals and organizational units to strengthen understanding and skills for overcome challenges and managing conflict.
