Meet our ombuds in person, in Zoom, or on the phone!
The Ombuds serve graduate students, staff, and faculty, empowering them to constructively navigate challenges related to their experiences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
- In confidential one-on-one consultations, the ombuds can help you engage in finding information, goal-setting, brainstorming, problem-solving, and skills practice, with respect, civility, and fairness. You can count on feeling safe and being heard. Our services are informal – we are not a reporting office.
- Ombuds will provide alternative mediation services with the consent of all parties involved. During these activities, Ombuds will remain impartial and independent, focusing a fair application of University policies and procedures.
- Our educational programming supports individuals and organizational units to strengthen understanding and skills for overcome challenges and managing conflict.
- The Ombuds Annual Report provides our analysis of trends drawn from visitor & participant experiences. These reports are provided to the campus community to support future organizational change and the development of policies, procedures, and practices.
