Ombuds’ Partner Office Event Announcement

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Office of Equal Opportunity & Accessibility (EOA) will host two virtual workshops in December focused on workplace accommodations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), and Religious Freedom. These sessions will highlight the rights and responsibilities of employees and supervisors, how to initiate the interactive accommodation process, and strategies for fostering accessibility in the workplace.

This interactive workshop is designed for employees who want to better understand the workplace accommodation request process for disability, pregnancy, or religious needs. Participants will receive practical guidance on their rights and responsibilities under the ADA, PWFA, and Religious Freedom protections, as well as an overview of EOA’s role in supporting accommodation requests. This interactive workshop is intended for supervisors seeking to learn more about the accommodation request process related to disability, pregnancy, or religion. The session will provide practical guidance on supervisor responsibilities under the ADA, PWFA, and Religious Freedom, and will outline how EOA supports employees throughout the process.
